Tell me about your experience as a postpartum doula.

I have extensive experience supporting families with all different needs, challenges, and experiences. I am well-educated on many cultural traditions surrounding birth and postpartum care in the home. Supporting families since 2002 in the Seattle area has been my greatest joy!

What length of time do families seek support? What do your services cost?

It is common for families to schedule care for the first 4 to 16 weeks postpartum. A combination of daytime and overnight is recommended. We can customize a recommended schedule based on your care needs.
Rates for postpartum care Daytime (4-hour minimum) and Overnight (8-hour minimum) are $60/hr.

What areas are you willing to commute to?

Anywhere within 30 minutes of Seattle

Are you comfortable working with pets in the home?

Yes! I am an experienced dog and cat owner and am comfortable with dogs /cats of different sizes and temperaments.

Do you have one or more backup doulas in the event we would like 24/7 care or for times when you are unavailable or our care needs increase? May we meet her/them?

Yes, I know and trust many of my doula colleagues. We are a group of independently employed doulas who function as a team or back up for one another.  This allows us to offer our clients greater flexibility in case their anticipated needs change. Each doula is highly trained, has a criminal background check, and is CPR certified. If I am unavailable during your timeframe, I recommend a doula that best matches your needs and schedule.

Do you have experience in breastfeeding support?

I have extensive experience helping women with all forms of breastfeeding challenges. I also completed over 40 hours of classroom training. I have a wide-ranging network of colleagues who have equivalent or greater experience than me in case we need additional guidance or information.

Do you stay current with vaccinations, CPR, and first aid?

Yes, I remain current with all CDC recommendations and hold certifications in Child/infant/adult CPR/first aid.
