First and foremost, I want to thank you for being here. This means you are interested in finding support for your incredible big day and for the postpartum period. I have been a postpartum specialist in the Seattle area for nearly 20 years. I am honored to have supported families with Education, breastfeeding support, and sleep!

I have always believed in the power of forming a support system for almost everything in life. Parents and newborns can experience long-lasting benefits from surrounding themselves with positive support. I am honored to care for families as they welcome their babies into their “new normal.” Whether it's your first baby or you're expanding your family, having a postpartum doula can make your transition to life as a family a memorable one.

My Family

I was fortunate to enroll at the Seattle Midwifery School in 2002 (Now known as Simkin Center for Allied Vocations at Bastyr University). I completed the Dona-approved comprehensive study of Labor and postpartum care instructed by the pioneer of doula work, Penny Simkin. I am trained in multiple birth care and support. I have extensive experience working with preemies, newborns, and infants, recognizing and overcoming breastfeeding challenges, as well as infant sleep patterns. In my practice, I am passionate about staying current and attending many workshops and lectures on postpartum care and postpartum mood disorders. I believe that postpartum support and education are invaluable to new families.

My passion for mothering the mother began shortly after witnessing a friend experience postpartum mood disorders. Reflecting on my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences, I knew I wanted to make a difference and be a part of creating calm. My natural ability to attune to others, emphasizing the importance of self-care and belief in support for all families during their unique journey, was ultimately what led me to become a doula.

Me & My Pup Henry

Community support is essential and valuable to me, and I enjoy mentoring new postpartum doulas in my spare time. I love Planning adventures that take me to unforgettable places, sharing a great cup of coffee, and building meaningful friendships. Originally from Chicago, I have called Seattle my home for the past 32 years. My husband and I have raised two wonderful children in the Northwest, who are the heart of my work and life. We are currently happily “owned” by our very handsome Havanese, Henry
