Postpartum Doula

I’m a certified postpartum doula, and I’ve been supporting families across Seattle since 2011. I bring a calm, steady presence into the home and truly care about helping families feel supported as they navigate the early days with a newborn.

As a mother of four, I bring both lived experience and deep understanding to the early postpartum season. I’ve seen how meaningful it is to have steady, supportive care in those first weeks, and it’s something I believe every family deserves. This work grew naturally from my ability to tune in, offer calm support, and meet families right where they are.

I completed my doula training at Bastyr University in 2011 under renowned educator Penny Simkin. I am certified as a doula, hold adult and infant CPR certification, carry professional liability insurance, and bring a deep foundation of experience in newborn care, feeding support, and postpartum recovery. In addition to my doula work, I have over 20 years of experience as a recreation therapist with a background in mental health, which strongly informs the emotional support I provide to families during the postpartum period.

I offer both daytime and overnight postpartum support and assist families with recovery from vaginal and cesarean births, breastfeeding and bottle feeding, use of breast pumps and feeding tools, newborn care and soothing techniques, and gentle sleep support. I also maintain a trusted referral network for lactation, sleep, and mental health support, helping families feel well supported beyond our time together.

Originally from the Midwest, Seattle has been my home since 1996. I come from a large family as one of eight children, and I value connection, laughter, and time spent with loved ones. Outside of work, I enjoy walks, music, sports, card games, hiking, travel, and good food shared with family and friends. I look forward to meeting you and supporting your family during this important chapter.
