Postpartum Doula
I’m a certified postpartum doula, and I’ve been supporting families across Seattle since 2011. I bring a calm, steady presence into the home and truly care about helping families feel supported as they navigate the early days with a newborn.
As a mother of four, I bring both lived experience and deep understanding to the early postpartum period. I’ve seen how meaningful it is to have steady, supportive care in those first weeks, and I believe every family deserves it. This work grew naturally from my ability to tune in, offer calm support, and meet families right where they are.
I completed my doula training at Bastyr University in 2011 under renowned educator Penny Simkin. I am a certified doula, hold adult and infant CPR certification, and carry professional liability insurance. I bring a deep foundation of experience in newborn care, feeding support, and postpartum recovery. In addition to my doula work, I have over 20 years of experience as a recreation therapist with a background in mental health. This strongly informs the emotional support I provide to families during the postpartum period.
I offer both daytime and overnight postpartum support and assist families with recovery from vaginal and cesarean births. I support breastfeeding and bottle feeding. I provide newborn care and soothing techniques, and gentle sleep support. I also maintain a trusted referral network for lactation, sleep, and mental health support, helping families feel well supported beyond our time together.
Originally from the Midwest, I have been a Seattle resident since 1996. I come from a large family as one of eight children. I value healthy living, connection, and time spent with loved ones. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors. I look forward to meeting you and supporting your family during this important chapter.
